To climb the Scottish Mountains in winter increases the challenge, and the reward. I can help you pick an appropriate route for the conditions each day and accompany you on the mountain, helping with any key decision making and ensuring you have the skills to travel safely in your group.

Winter Skills

Learn the skills needed for traveling through the winter mountain environment. We will look at what equipment to carry and how to use it; winter navigation and route planning; winter weather and avalanche awareness.

Winter Mountaineering

Take the next steps with your winter mountaineering. I can lead you along classic winter mountaineering routes such as the Aonach Eagach in Glencoe or Ledge Route on Ben Nevis. I can also teach you the skills you'll need on a winter mountaineering route or climb.
